We have the BEST customers! No lie. We love creating relationships with our customers and helping them take on kitchen projects. Last week, we received a great email from a customer we installed granite for in the summer of 2013. These are the kind of emails where we stop in our flurry of busyness and take a moment to reflect in why we do what we do. Out of all the emails we receive everyday, these emails are by far our favorite.

With this project, Midwest Marble & Granite did the tear-out and disposal of the existing laminate countertops, subcontracted the plumbing and new tile backsplash installation, and we put a 1/2 bullnose edge on the countertops as well as installing the granite. To get an idea of what the half bullnose edge looks like, please see the edge profile section of our website. The granite color is Coffee Brown and the tile is a 3×6 travertine in the Noce color from Daltile. We also installed their sink, which is the Blanco granite composite supersingle sink. To see what the supersingle sink looks like, check out our sink section.

The customer decided to paint their existing cabinets and keep their existing hardware as well. They did purchase a new faucet (which we recommend almost always when purchasing new granite countertops). The stainless steel appliances are also existing from before the update. The renewed kitchen has a good balance of light and dark. The cabinets are light and the room in general has a lot of light in it but the granite, tile, stainless steel appliances, and other darker features (i.e. sink and utensils) really pull everything together to balance the room.

Please see the pictures below. This project will also be on our Houzz profile as well.
